I have worked at the practice since 2004 and enjoy being part of such a dedicated team, constantly striving to improve patient experience and care through continued professional development.

In my spare time, I enjoy community work, socializing, and cooking.

Stephen

Dental Surgeon
B.University of Newcastle Upon Tyne 1995 Honours

I studied dentistry at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne qualifying with honours. After 10 years in Private and NHS general practice, I became actively involved in Foundation Dental Training and have completed more than 16 years of training newly qualified dentists.

My interest in implantology began in 2009 whilst working with Manchester's maxillofacial surgeons and completed a one-year surgical and restorative PG Certificate in Implantology in 2012. I have now successfully placed and restored over 1000 implants. I focus on giving patients choice and time to discuss options along with providing high quality dental care.

I have a keen interest in running, golf and walking my dogs.

Paula

Therapist
DHDT

I became a trainee dental nurse in 2005 for the original owners of the practice.

In 2012 I went to the University of Sheffield to study dental hygiene and dental therapy and I qualified 2014 with a distinction.

I returned to the practice in 2015. I enjoy the variety of treatment I can complete as a therapist, especially on nervous patients and children.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising and spending time with my family and friends.

Helen

Hygienist

I am Helen and I have been at the practice since I was 17. Firstly, as a Dental Nurse for 5 years and then qualifying as a Dental Hygienist in 1995.

I am married with two sons. My hobby is running, and I enjoy off road long distance runs.

Karen

Hygienist

I started my career in dentistry working at this practice as a dental nurse.

Knowing I could develop this further I went onto study at Leeds Dental Hospital and qualified as a dental hygienist in 1989.

I am constantly updating and improving my knowledge and clinical skills with ongoing courses and training. This included going back to university and qualifying as a dental therapist at Liverpool Dental Hospital in 2001.

Numerous years later I am still working at this practice and I am passionate about my work, delivering to patients high quality work whilst having a caring and compassionate nature.

I am committed to promoting oral health and continually strive for excellence whilst putting patients first.

My hobbies include open water swimming and cycling. As well as looking after my family I also enjoy walking my two dogs.

Beth

Receptionist

I joined the practice in 1996 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1998.

I left in 2005 to move to Turkey and re-joined the practice in 2014 when I returned to live in the UK.

I now work fulltime on reception. When I’m not at work I like to travel.

Joanne

Lizzie

Senior Dental Nurse

I started working at Barton Dental Centre in 2002 under the original owner and principal dentist, Jeremy Walker. After qualifying in 2004 I then gained additional qualifications in radiography, oral health education, impression taking and fluoride application.
